Feature Count: 46

Abstract: The Multicounty and Countywide Planning Policies guide the development of urban centers, which are principally located in cities, and should accommodate concentrations of housing and employment. Focusinggrowth into centers helps achieve the goals of a sustainable and equitable community. However, in its unincorporated urban area, King County has a small number of smaller-scale urban centers, which includes an unincorporated activity center, community business centers and neighborhood business centers.
Purpose: Centers designated for regional growth in urban King County, along with centers designated for various levels of commercial land use in unincorporated King County. Centers are designated by the King County Comprehensive Plan and the Growth Management Planning Council.
