All About Addresses

 

Datasets:

 

Address points with Zip Code +4 and Carrier Routes (plibrary.admin.address_point ):

·         Based on E911 project

·         Provides street address for each addressable door in King County.  Some buildings have more than one door (commercial businesses on bottom floor of an apartment building for example).

o        Condominium buildings/complexes get one address point

o        Duplexes, Triplexes, Quads get multiple points

o        Malls get multiple points

·         Address components are separated into different fields and combined into one field

·         PIN number not included

·         Best used for site address of living units (except Condo and Apartment Units)

               

Parcel with Street Address (PLIBRARY.PROPERTY.PIN_ADDRESS):

·         Provides a street address for parcels in King County and is a compilation of:

o        DDES addresses for unincorporated King County

o        Assessors addresses for incorporated King County which are based on these tables:

§         Residential Building Table

§         Commercial Building Table

§         Apartment Building Table

§         Condominium Building Table

§         Vacant Lot Table

·         Processing allows only one address per parcel and the one it chooses is completely arbitrary

·         Address components are separated into different fields and combined into one field

·         Includes PIN and Minor Numbers only

Best used for general site address of a parcel

 

Real Property Account Table (plibrary.property.rpacct _extr):

·         Provides Taxpayer mailing address from Assessor records.  Can be the same as a site address.

·         Address components for house and street are in one field only

·         Includes Account Number, PIN , Major and Minor Numbers

·         Best used to contact tax payers through mailing address

 

Parcels with Commonly Used Attributes (PLIBRARY.PROPERTY.PARCEL_COMMONDATA_AREA_VIEW)

·         Site address from PIN_Address and taxpayer mailing address from RPACCT_EXTR

·         No address components are separated into different fields

·         May include the Condo Complex address, but no Condo Unit addresses

·         Includes PIN number only

·         Includes  some parcel info from PARCEL_EXTR

·         Best used when need both the general site address of the parcel and the tax payer mailing address

 

Street Address (plibrary.transportation.st_address_line):

·         Provides address ranges based on street center lines in King County

·         Street name components are separated into different fields and combined into one field

·         Best used for geocoding.

 

King County Transportation Network (TNET) (plibrary.transportation.trans_network_line):

·         Provides address ranges for all types of transportation facilities including roads, alleys and access roads in King County and partially in Snohomish and Pierce Counties.

·         Street name components are separated into different fields and combined into one field

·         Best used for geocoding

 

Condo Unit Table (plibrary.property.CONDOUNIT_EXTR):

·         Provides unit information for each condo in King County

·         The only address component is the unit number.  Need to set up a relationship with Condo Complex address using the Major number

·         Best used when need to find site address for each condo unit
