Purpose
This layer was created in approx.
1994 or 1995 to address implementation of the Comprehensive Plan as regards mineral sites.
A temporary KC employee, Maren Van Nostrand, did extensive research on every property in King County that had mineral extraction rights.
This layer is the result of her research.
It was included on at least one official Comprehensive Plan map in the mid 1990's.
Abstract
This coverage contains identified sites with current and/or grandfathered mineral extraction rights.
