This field is populated through a join with the Coded Value Domain (CVD) for COMMON_INTEREST_POINT.

This CVD contains all classes (domains) in COMMON_INTEREST_POINT, and can cause issues by displaying all or some of the unused codes when symbolized.

The FEATUREDES instead shows only those value(s) pertinent to SCHSITE_POINT and is therefore more useful for symbolization.

Values in this field are very difficult to maintain due to common changes to website urls by different school districts.

Case sensitivity in mixed case addresses was also cleaned up.

Contains only items SCH_CLASS (small integer 5) and CLASS_DESC (text 50).

Values from old items CLASS and DESC calculated to new items, respectively.

Items OLDTYPE, SYMBOL and DUP are not carried forward from old lookup table to new table.

Finally in new table, remove all records other than where CLASS (now SCH_CLASS) is 1:9.

Rename current MAINT.GISC.PointsInterest.SCHSITE_POINT feature class to MAINT.GISC.PointsInterest.SCHSITE_MAST.

Create python routine schsite.py  that creates a join between feature class SCHSITE_MAST and table SCHSITE_TYPE.

Join is performed on SCHSITE_MAST.CLASS to SCHSITE_TYPE.CLASS.

CLASS_DESC item from SCHSITE_TYPE table is added to SCHSITE_MAST.

SCHSITE_MAST is renamed to SCHSITE_POINT and posted from feature dataset MAINT.GISC.PointsInterestProcess.

Any future updates to SCHSITE_MAST should be made against the version in MAINT.GISC.PointsInterest feature data set.

After updates are completed, python script should be run to complete table managment.

Reimport metadata from master and repost data to SDW.
