Purpose

Used by transit staff and systems to represent the scheduled path of transit routes in the system.

This layer is used for planning and operations in a variety of information systems including vehicle location; passenger counting; customer information and service .

Abstract

Contains revenue patterns for the upcoming (tentative) service period.

Transit clients can use this layer to display all the deadhead revenue patterns in the upcoming (tentative) service period.

Used for analysis and display, as the patterns are linked to routes.
