Why was the data set created?

Describes District Court divisions of King County for purposes of election. The district court divisions are subject to redistricting (RCW 3.38.010). In 2006 this data layer changed to the 5 district court divisions of King County from the previous 3. The boundaries are defined along precinct boundaries (KCC 1.12.050) and an ordinance is submitted to the King County Council when precinct boundary changes alter District Court boundary definitions.
