Why was the data set created?

Used by transit commuters in King County. Planners from Metro; WSDOT and King County jurisdictions use the data for planning park-and-ride development; new and expanded park-and-ride lots and transit oriented development projects. Metro service planners use the data for route planning. The points are used by scheduling to determine distances to calculate platform hours vs revenue hours of service. They are also used by the web-based trip planning service.
