Abstract: The Rural Forest Focus Area was defined under the King County Comprehensive planning process. King County shall target funding, when available, new economic incentive programs, regulatory actions, and additional technical assistance to the identified Rural Forest Focus Areas. Strategies specific to each Rural Forest Focus Area shall be developed, employing the combination of incentive and technical assistance programs best suited to each focus area.
Purpose: The Rural Forest Focus Area consists of identified geographic areas where special efforts are necessary and feasible to maintain forest cover and the practice of sustainable forestry.
