Abstract:
2010 King County Natural Color and Color Infrared orthoimagery acquired by iTen Associates under full leaf-on conditions in February and March. Coverage is western King County and SW Snohomish County at a pixel resolution of 0.5 foot GSD. Lower resolution (12 inch) imagery is being acquired in August for the balance of the County.
Purpose:
Natural color orthophoto imagery for King County and portions of adjoining counties. Color infrared imagery can also be used for various vegetative and impervious surface analyses.
Supplemental_Information:
The orthoimagery is hosted in the King County Spatial Data Warehouse in the standard township-range tiling scheme and can be viewed with existing GIS and image viewing software.
Township tiles have been compressed at 15X using MrSid compression software. Losslessly-compressed 7500x7500-ft tiles will be available. Full resolution TIF tiles at the 7500-ft level are available only offline.

Data was acquired in three main phases: 1. February 18 through February 21 2. Februrary 22 3. March 19 through March 20.
The defined lowland (6 inch) acquisition area was not fully completed due to snow and weather conditions in the far eastern part of the acquisition area. This area will be captured during the upland (12 inch) campaign.

7500x7500 TIF tiles were losslessly compressed to MrSid v3 format. Each tile was briefly inspected for compliance to specifications, including horizontal accuracy (if tile contained control point(s)), and quality of elevated roadway structure rectification.

One-hundred one (101) ground control points were identified on the imagery. X-Y coordinate points were collected and X and Y offset (Photo - Ground Control) and RMS analysis was performed.
